What is your Goliath?

Yes, I said “what” and not “who”.

1 Samuel 17:4 tells us Goliath was 6 cubits and a span. One cubit=1.5 feet. A “span” is another 9 inches. 6 cubits means Goliath was 9 FEET TALL, plus the 9″ of the span, so dude was nearly 10 feet tall. The tallest person I know is 6’7. I am 5’4 so I don’t even come to this person’s shoulder! LOL!

Nearly 10 feet tall. Can you IMAGINE? All these other Israelite soldiers were terrified. Poor young David, the lyre player and the youngest of all the Jesse’s sons. HE is the one that took on Goliath….

Sometimes our dreams seem as huge as Goliath did to the Israelites. These dreams are so huge they’re terrifying so oftentimes we tuck tail and RUN in the opposite direction, right?

I know that right now I have a dream that seems so crazy. So out of reach. It was something I dreamed about even as a CHILD. I have no idea what it will look like when it comes to fruition. But I DO know that for me to consistently over the years to have had a similar thought over and over again, and then literal dreams while I am asleep over and over….these are God-sized dreams from God Himself.

I have no clue the who, when, where or how. Just the what. Not even the “to what extent” just yet. That’s okay though: God does. My calling is to do HIS Will. Thy will be done and all that, right? Trusting Him. Trusting HIM to provide for me and my dreams. Goliath may be big, you could say he is huge. Just like our goals and dreams seem huge. GOD IS SO MUCH BIGGER!!

When you have God-sized dreams, you need to have God-sized FAITH.

Do you have your sights set on your Giant, God-sized goal?
Is your slingshot ready? Because when God is on your side, ANYTHING and EVERYTHING is attainable!!
